Situated in the residential area of Davenport, Stockport, Davenport Manor is a long established residential home with a reputation for quality care and comfort.

We provide residential accommodation for the elderly who may require varying levels of support and care ranging from basic support for daily activities to those with dementia. The kitchen prepares homely cooked meals daily for up to 32 residents and 5 to 6 staff. The meals prepared are of a high quality, with special diets and residents' ''likes and dislikes'' accommodated. Our kitchen is consistently awarded a 5 star food hygiene rating.
We are seeking to recruit a Weekend Kitchen Assistant who shares our outlook and who wishes to further develop their own skills, to join our staff team. A thorough induction and ongoing support/guidance will be given by the Head Cook and the Kitchen Assistant.
The position requires working Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm. The selected candidate would also be required, if possible, to provide holiday/sickness cover when necessary.
Responsibilities include:
• Receiving and checking in any deliveries (though virtually all the kitchen orders are delivered during the week)
• Set Tea Trolley for drinks.
• Serve mid morning drinks to residents
• Collect in the crockery, rinse and load dishwasher.
• Set the tables ready for meals.
• Assist the Cook with the serving of meals.
• Clean all the metal kitchen surfaces down including shelving below.
• Clean the fridges, cooker, burners and grills.
• Clean the kitchen/store room floor at the end of the day .
The role involves working Saturdays and Sundays between 9.00AM and 6.00PM
Lunch is provided.
