We are seeking a dedicated Welfare and Well-being Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide specialist advice, guidance, and support to learners, helping them overcome barriers to learning. This role is pivotal in leading safeguarding case-work and collaborating with both College staff and external agencies to ensure effective and timely interventions.
Day to Day of the role:- Plan, organise, and deliver high-quality welfare and well-being information, advice, and guidance to individual learners and groups.
- Work collaboratively with College staff and external agencies to support learners, improve learning outcomes, and contribute to national learning targets.
- Proactively promote and organise welfare-related financial support for learners.
- Act as a key member of the College ‘BeSafe’ safeguarding team, responding to referrals to safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
- Foster a customer-centered approach, ensuring learners are supported and barriers to learning are overcome.
- Uphold the highest standards in customer care, equal opportunities, and health and safety practices for the benefit of learners and the community.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults, including addressing risks associated with the Prevent Agenda.
- Proven experience in providing welfare and well-being support within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding protocols and the Prevent Agenda.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to deliver advice and guidance to a diverse group of learners.
- Experience working with external agencies to support learner needs.
- Commitment to promoting equal opportunities and customer care excellence.
- Knowledge of welfare-related financial support mechanisms.
