Convenience is a key growth driver for the UK business. We continue to see shoppers habits shift towards smaller shops in local stores. With our brands, the strongest in the market, we still have lots of headroom to grow in this sector.
Convenience is a rapidly changing environment with customer M&A now the norm. Our Wholesale Development Representatives form the foundation for how we quickly react, adapt, and accelerate growth in this environment. With circa 46,000 convenience stores across the UK, there is huge scope to fundamentally influence how we drive value by building relationships with customers and POCs.
The Channel is arguably the most complex channel we have in Europe, and requires someone who can understand problems – both known and unknown – and work quickly to solve those problems.
Job Description: Execution at Wholesale level
This role will be focused on account management to maximize existing relationships, with a significant focus on activating existing all resources to drive volume and distribution of BBG brands. A strong candidate will be an outstanding relationship builder, with the ability to sell from our premium portfolio.
Supporting and monitoring of key commercial strategies – such as tracking core distribution range and trade marketing execution in depot – is key to this role, along with demonstration of commercial acumen and delivery of KPI results, whilst embracing the ABI key principles. Additionally, this role is responsible for activating and educating our third party field sales teams in order to drive volume growth in this channel and will have accountability of at least 4x key society customers withing Total Co-op.
If successful in this role, the candidate will be equipped with the skills to move into key account management within sales in either on or off trade, or leadership roles across multiple functions.
Profile:
- University Degree or equivalent preferred for advancement opportunities
- Passion for Beer and Food Industry – experience in field sales is preferred
- Analytical skills, strong business acumen
- Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent relationship building and follow-up skills
- Very enthusiastic & motivated to make a difference
- Driven, ambitious and resilient
- Computer proficiency and aptitude, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
- This role is Field Based role so a current UK Driving License is required
Duties and Responsibilities
- Grow AB InBev share/sales within prioritized wholesale partners
- Deliver distribution, volume and other commercial metrics
- Assist account teams in implementing JBP at depot-level, including roll-out of commercial initiatives and promotional plans
- Develop a strong network of working relationships across the ledger from HO contacts, Wholesale Salesforce, Technical Support
- Supporting the implementation of cross-functional projects and contact strategies set by account teams and broader convenience team
- Analyze relevant data sources to drive individual and team performance
