Take ownership for the production of our products
The Wire Technician will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of cutting edge subsea oil and gas equipment. You will focus on electronics, from soldering of components through to circuit testing and debugging. The role also presents an amazing opportunity to gain further qualifications in electronics and progress to at least Technician level.
As a Wiring Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting electrical wiring, soldering, cable crimping, stripping and electronic assembly
- Assembling Electro-mechanical equipment and conducting light testing and verification of assemblies.
- Reading, understanding & interpretation of electrical circuit diagrams from 5VDC up to 500VAC (3 phase)
- Working to established quality standards such as ISO/QS9000
- Being proactive in ensuring that health and safety is first priority for employees, suppliers and customers
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have an Electrical/Electronic based apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent experience
- Have previous experience in a wireman, wirer role, electrical assembly or electrical technician role, in an industrial setting.
- Have a good understanding of electronics circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Have experience using an ERP system, ideally SAP
