The role


Southwark Education Business Alliance brings schools and businesses together through a range of activities including Work Experience which are aimed at raising young peoples’ aspirations and awareness of different career choices. We manage a large number of business volunteer mentors in primary and secondary schools. Are you organised, methodical, passionate in working with young people, and have experience in stakeholder engagement?

We are looking for a Work Experience Coordinator to be responsible for managing and delivering Southwark Education Business Alliance’s Work Experience programmes with partner schools in line with statutory frameworks and health and safety regulations.

You will work with a highly dynamic team delivering a range of work related learning activities aimed at raising young people’s aspirations in addition to developing their employability skills.

About you:

The successful candidate will have considerable experience delivering successful Work Experience programmes at a school or for an intermediary organisation, will have excellent communication skills, be organised, detailed and able to manage own workload with clear deadlines. You will also need to have knowledge and experience including assessing the suitability of work placements. This role requires frequent presentations to parents, teachers and the young people and report writing.
