Your contribution will be crucial in shaping the future of one of the world's busiest airports. You will be providing us with an ongoing accurate view of our workforce and capabilities that will help inform strategic workforce decisions.
The role is key in optimising our workforce planning controls and processes, as well as playing a vital role in understanding external workforce planning trends, including technologies and automation, and bringing best practices into how Heathrow performs this critical organisational effectiveness function. This role will also support the delivery of large-scale people change and organisational design/organisational effectiveness (OD/OE) programmes.
We can consider part-time applicants for this role - minimum 3 days per week.
- Maintaining the organisation baseline – ensuring any changes are reflected and updated in the baseline.
- Evaluating workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to help drive improvement in Workforce Management and embedding organisation baseline tools and processes and any enhancements, ensuring all stakeholders understand and perform their roles.
- Working collaboratively with HRBPs, Data Management and Reward to maintain the accuracy of changes, including regular review of contingent resources, secondments / maternity leave cover.
- Leading on improvements to workforce planning tools and processes, driving towards simplification and automation, and bringing in external trends and best practices to help influence our Workforce Management.
- Facilitating the change control process, ensuring the necessary information is provided to allow approval decision-making by the Head of OE/Director of OE/People Committee as appropriate.
- Supporting the planning of the management business planning (MBP) process – establishing the proper guidance, timeline and governance and facilitating the process to ensure MBP is well managed and aligned with Finance.
- Managing and maintaining Heathrow organisation charts in line with the organisation baseline, driving towards automation and simplification where possible.
- Proven HR analytical Excel and data skills, with established capability in data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Demonstrable working knowledge of interpreting and presenting data in an engaging and meaningful way to various stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business and opportunities appropriately.
- A background in problem-solving and identifying opportunities to improve working methods.
- A project management mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced change environment.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Previous experience in a Workforce Planning role. An aptitude to understand specialist Workforce Management tools such as Orgvue.

Working Location
Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
