Join us on the journey We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Controller to be based at Bournemouth. As part of the management of the garage's engineering function, the role will ensure that all repair, maintenance and servicing of the Company's coaches are effectively planned, monitored and meet Customer, Company and Statutory requirements. What you'll do Plan and allocate all relevant work programmes; preventative maintenance, in line with the quality management system, MOT, modifications and refurbishment, efficiently and effectively to meet relevant performance and budgetary targets.Manage and update vehicle planning boards.Ensure all vehicles are regularly serviced, thoroughly maintained and well presented in strict accordance with Company procedures, DVSA requirements and agreed budgets.Utilizing the VMS system to maximum effect, ensure all reported defects for vehicles/workshop are resolved efficiently and effectively, with minimal effect to the service network, and vehicle safety.Ensure that all activities are correctly logged within the VMS accurately and in a timely manner.Review and authorise vehicle repair/maintenance documentation as required prior to releasing vehicles for operational service.Liaise with third party contractors in respect of warranty repairs.Ensure the effective supply of parts / stock control systems are in place to comply with Company requirements.Support stock checks by completing sample checks monthly, with remedial action taken to overcome shortcomings.Liaise closely with Operations colleagues, communicating any delays or requirements with the relevant parties.As the representative of the engineering function attend the daily Operations Meeting and brief the engineering team accordingly.Deputise for the Engineering Manager as required.Work towards achieving the relevant KPIs within your sphere of influence.
