What you’ll do
The Workshops Engineer works within the Rack build /Configuration function at KG Central Workshops, Vodafone. They are to provide support to other engineers within the function as required. To ensures quality standards are maintained and to drive the standards and performance of the workshop’s facility. To perform and provide measurements of simple KPI’s and continual improvements within the Workshop facility and chart/monitor these as required.
You will also build, configure and test IL2 & IL3 equipment to be sent via our 3rd party distribution to the engineer for installation at customer sites.
At times to provide repatriation of screened equipment back into the supply chain to provide cost reduction in delivering projects and BAU Provide activities.
There is a requirement to work away from home all over the UK & Ireland for safe installation of Racks prebuilt within the function.

- Ability to work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Advanced Analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Adaptability and the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Industry leading technical knowledge gained in a telecoms or service provider environment on all aspects of Transmission & Voice and Data Networks
Desirable:
- HND or Degree in a Technical Subject or relevant Industry experience
- Manufacturer accreditation in Ericsson MSPP equipment.
