Job Title: Works Manager - Welding & Fabrication
Working Hours: Mon to Thurs (7am-4pm), Fri (7am-1pm)
Our client is an International manufacturer that offer a full range of services including CNC machining, forgings, pressings, 3D design, 3D printing, and fabrication.
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: £40,000 to £60,000 (DOE)
- Generous Leave: 30 Days (including Bank Holidays)
- Working Hours: Mon to Thurs (7am-4pm), Fri (7am-1pm), 40 hours/week
Job Responsibilities:
- Organise and lead a team of 20 skilled Welder/Fabricators
- Efficiently allocate jobs and ensure timely delivery
- Manage production processes and resolve day-to-day issues
- Ensure quality control of materials and finished products
- Coordinate machining, material orders, and inspections
- Provide hands-on assistance when needed
- Maintain workshop safety standards and conduct regular checks
- Oversee overtime work and audits
- Communicate with clients regarding production updates and lead times
Preferred Experience:
- Welding procedure and qualification knowledge
- Experience in MIG/TIG welding and pressure vessel design
- Familiarity with NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) techniques
