• Full time, permanent
• 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday; 8am - 1:00pm on Fridays
• £35,000 per annum

We design, manufacture, test, install and commission Reverse Osmosis plants within multiple sectors, alongside technical assistance, and support for other manufacturers water treatment systems.

Key tasks of the Workshop Machinist

The main purpose of the job role is to provide a professional lathe machining/fabrication service to our manufacturing site, as well as training apprentices to bring through the next generation of engineers, fabricators, and machinists.

Your day-to-day responsibilities are likely to include the following:

• Manual machining production and planning
• Use of precision measuring equipment
• Working with buyers and Project Engineers to maximise efficient use of machines and materials.
• Stock control
• General housekeeping

Knowledge, skills & experience required:

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with extensive previous experience in a similar role, with experience or exposure to the following areas:

• Manual and CNC machinery.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Assisting in the training and mentoring of apprentices.
• Working with varied materials from plastic to super-duplex.

Please note that this role will require SC Clearance. To attain SC Clearance, an applicant will normally need to have resided in the UK for at least 5 years.
