Temporary 6-month Fixed Term Contract, 37 hours per week
An opportunity has arisen at Fenland District Council for a temporary HGV Workshop Technician. Working within a friendly team, the purpose of the role is to inspect, maintain and repair a varied range of commercial vehicles and plant.
You will be expected to:
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of a range of HGV and other vehicles, plant and equipment.
- Undertake routine vehicle servicing, diagnostics and troubleshooting, including vehicle electronic systems.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections to VOSA standards
- To self-manage workload and be responsible for arranging or pre-ordering spare parts as required

Based mostly at the Council's central workshop in March, the role will be 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 0630-1700.
Personal Protective Clothing, power tools and large tools will be provided.
