What is the job role?
Willenhall Community Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Wraparound Manager to work with our amazing children and staff.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and operation of the School's Breakfast Club which runs from 8am Monday to Friday during term time. You will be responsible for:
- ensuring the provision of a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children attending the provision (aged from 3 to 11)
- co-ordinating and preparing breakfast for the children, ensuring food supplies are maintained
- creating an inviting environment for the children, ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the facilities
- maintaining accurate records of attendance
- liaising with parents and teachers at handover
- administering first aid as required (training will be provided)
- line managing the team of staff supporting the provision
Who are we looking for?
A committed and enthusiastic Wraparound Manager to join our vibrant and dedicated team with an immediate start. You should have:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification relevant to the care of children in Early Years
- A commitment to make a difference to children’s lives through good quality childcare
- A good understanding of how children play and its relevance to their development
- Knowledge of suitable activities and play opportunities related to a child's age, abilities and needs
- Experience of working with pre-school and school aged children and within a group situation
- Experience and knowledge of safeguarding
- The ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups of children, teachers, parents and other members of staff
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers and other members of staff
- The ability to use own initiative
- A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
- A dedication to actively contribute to school life and the wider community.
- A sense of humour, positive outlook and a kind heart
- A commitment to your own professional learning which is supported by a dedicated leadership team
- Food Hygiene certification or a willingness to undertake training
- Health & safety knowledge and the ability to plan, provide and facilitate safe and creative play for the children
- First Aid certification or a willingness to undertake training
