07:45 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 15:00 Friday

What will you deliver?

The postholder will be responsible for the stock control of materials used within the highway maintenance service and ensuring items are re-ordered when stock items reach minimum levels to ensure the efficient delivery of the highway service. The postholder will also be required to carry out regular checks of fuel stock used by the fleet of vehicles operating from its operational depots.

* Applicants should have experience working in a Depot / Yard environment.
* Applicants must hold a recognised telehandler and forklift licence.
* Applicants should be able to work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude.
* Applicants should have excellent communication skills.
* Applicants should have experience driving and operating construction plant machinery and equipment.
* Applicants should preferably be able to demonstrate a level of competency in construction type activities, although training will be provided to suitable applicants.
* Applicants must be prepared to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
* Applicants must have good organisational skills, a systematic approach to work and be able to maintain accurate records.
* Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
* Applicants should be flexible to meet the needs of the service.
