Year 5/6 Class Teacher

Upper KS2 Class Teacher is required for a long-term temporary job in Runcorn

We are currently supporting a large primary school in Runcorn to recruit a Year 5/6 teacher to work alongside their current Year 5/6 teacher until the end of the academic year.
This temporary job will be a mixture of team teaching and booster teaching supporting Year 6 pupils preparing for KS2 SATs.
The school are welcoming applications from ECT's and experienced teachers.
The school are also willing to consider a teacher on a part-time basis.
Your new company
This is an Ofsted "Good" school located just outside Runcorn town centre with good transport links to Widnes, West Chshire and South Warrington. You will join a friendly and committed staff team who work hard to create a safe and engaging environment for all children to achieve their goals.
Your new role
You will be working alongside an experienced Class Teacher supporting the learning in class, teaching small group sessions, interventions and boosted and leading lessons for allocated subjects. Being a specialist KS2 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering interesting and accessible lessons to students in a mixed Year 5/6 Class to ensure literacy, numeracy, and curriculum targets are achieved. You will have full teaching responsibility for this cohort and be responsible for SATs preparation. This exciting opportunity would be well suited to teachers on M2 and above, although ECT and NQTs are welcome to apply.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful with your application, you will need

NQT or QTS status

A current DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one through Hays

Relevant experience with available references

Experience of phonics
