Year End Accountant- Interim

My client is seeking a year-End Accountant for a 3 month contract, where the main focus will be on producing Year End accounts. There is a possibility that the role will get extended or converted to a permanent role in the long-term.

My client is located near the centre of Reading, and they are a small organisation specialising in the media sector. The team are tight-knit and friendly, who look forward to welcoming an experienced finance professional to assist with their Year End.

Description

• Manage and lead the end of year accounting process with oversight from the Head of Finance.
• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Prepare financial reports and statements.
• Liaise with various departments to obtain information and provide this to external accountants.
• Implement financial policies and procedures.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
• Participate in financial projects and initiatives

Profile

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Part qualified or QBE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Previous experience of Year End closures and reporting.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero accounting software and MS Office suite (desirable).
