A Day Centre in North Leeds is on the lookout for a Youth Support Worker to join their growing team. The Day Centre caters for young adults aged 18-25 with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Complex Needs and Physical Disabilities. They are looking for a Youth Support Worker to join them on a full-time, long-term basis from the end of February half term with the potential for securing a permanent role.
As a Youth Support Worker, your roles and responsibilities will be:
- To build rapport with the students to help them feel comfortable and relaxed.
- To help run exciting activities like games, crafts and baking.
- To take the students out on walks so they can experience going to a local café for lunch or go to a nearby park.
- To support the physically disabled students with mobility and all aspects of personal care.
Previous experience of support or care work is required as this will aid you to cater to the needs and requirements of the students.
