2nd Line Support Engineer
Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a global market leading client to recruit an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a team with a genuine passion for technology.
The Role
As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation and configuration of hardware and software, acting as an escalation point to the Service Desk and working with the third line teams when required.
The Responsibilities
- Resolve second line incidents.
- Assign incidents and acquiring knowledge from third line teams.
- Resolve incidents and queries for senior management.
- Investigate and escalate MIs to major incident managers.
- Complete system maintenance, alongside escalations and call outs.
- Manage the domain portfolio.
- Manage mobile assets.
- Creating and maintaining Active Directory groups.
- Deploy and Image end user computer hardware and deploying software packages.
- Manage inbound and outbound mail flow.
The Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Smart thinking approach with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Commercial experience working within a service management function.
- Technical ability supporting and maintaining hardware and peripheral devices.
- Experience of using a ticketing system, such as Remedy.
- Experience deploying, imaging and supporting Windows 10, macOS, CentOS and mobile devices.
- Experience supporting technologies from a diverse product stack including; AD, Exchange, Office, Teams, Citrix, Cisco and VMWare Workstation
