Person Specification
A successful candidate will ideally have the following skills:

• Be able to take ownership of a task or project to see it through to completion and to exceed expectations whenever possible.

• Be able to manage/prioritise their own workload so tasks can be completed to a customer’s satisfaction and meet Service Level Agreements where necessary.
• Good time management.
• Full UK driving licence.

Support Engineer (2nd Line)
Due to continued expansion, they are looking for experienced 2nd Line IT engineers to join their Support Team, providing support both remotely and at customers’ premises.
Main duties will include:
• To troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and questions, whilst maintaining an accurate task record in our helpdesk system
• Proactively help resolve support tickets as required
• To participate in infrastructure installation, hardware refresh and other projects as occasion demands
• Installation of new equipment and software at customer premises.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years proven experience working in a 2nd Line position (Required)
• Candidate will hold or be willing to attain the following Microsoft accreditations – MS900, MS102
• Knowledge of working for a Managed Service Provider (Desirable)
• Thorough knowledge of current IT technology, including (but not limited to):
o Microsoft Desktop PC OS Windows 10 and above
o Microsoft Office 365
o Microsoft Server 2008 - 2022
o Microsoft Active Directory
o Microsoft Exchange 2007 – 2019
o Server Virtualisation (HyperV and VMware)
o LAN/WAN (routers, switches, firewall)
o High level desktop support skills
o Backup technologies (experience of ShadowProtect and Veeam products is desirable).
Nice to Have
• Experience of working for an MSP.
• Experience with SharePoint management and support.
