2nd Line Support Engineer - Peak District
2nd Line IT Support Engineer responsibilities should be:
- Providing analytical and technical support to IT users across multiple sites.
- Collaborating with the IT team to ensure effective support, working with frontLine Support, and assisting the Head of IT and Analysts.
- Travelling to various sites as needed.
- Ensuring the reliability of systems and promptly responding to system queries.
- Utilising the IT Helpdesk software for clear event logging and meeting SLA's.
- Participating in the IT rota and on-call support team, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintaining organised storage of equipment and ensuring a safe and tidy work environment.
- Prioritising safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in all work.
- Contributing to the development and updating of operational IT procedures, policies, and documentation.
- Attending meetings and training sessions.
- Adhering to GDPR, PCI, and licensing regulations.
- Assisting in managing and supporting external IT contractors, suppliers, and support companies.
Profile
2nd Line Support Engineer - Peak District
A successful Level 2 Support Engineer should have:
- A strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products,
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues,
- Proficiency in English,
- Excellent communication skills,
- Customer-oriented,
- Some travel across Midlands and Yorkshire will be required,
- Ownership of the car is necessary.
