2nd Line Support Engineer - Peak District

2nd Line IT Support Engineer responsibilities should be:

• Providing analytical and technical support to IT users across multiple sites.
• Collaborating with the IT team to ensure effective support, working with frontLine Support, and assisting the Head of IT and Analysts.
• Travelling to various sites as needed.
• Ensuring the reliability of systems and promptly responding to system queries.
• Utilising the IT Helpdesk software for clear event logging and meeting SLA's.
• Participating in the IT rota and on-call support team, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintaining organised storage of equipment and ensuring a safe and tidy work environment.
• Prioritising safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in all work.
• Contributing to the development and updating of operational IT procedures, policies, and documentation.
• Attending meetings and training sessions.
• Adhering to GDPR, PCI, and licensing regulations.
• Assisting in managing and supporting external IT contractors, suppliers, and support companies.

Profile

2nd Line Support Engineer - Peak District

A successful Level 2 Support Engineer should have:

• A strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products,
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues,
• Proficiency in English,
• Excellent communication skills,
• Customer-oriented,
• Some travel across Midlands and Yorkshire will be required,
• Ownership of the car is necessary.
