3Rd Line Wan Network Engineer

3rd Line WAN Engineer/Network Engineer (Juniper SRX/BGP/IPSEC/MPLS/PKI) - Solihull, West Midlands, UK - 12 Month Contract. A national security clearance is required for this role but candidates not holding this level of clearance will be considered.

Leading IT Services Provider in the defence sector require a skilled 3rd Line WAN Engineer (Juniper SRX/BGP/IPSEC/MPLS/PKI), for an initial 12 months rolling contract, to join their team in Solihull, West Midlands.

The project requires a 3rd Line WAN Engineer/Network Engineer (Juniper SRX/BGP/IPSEC/MPLS/PKI) -with experience in:

• The successful applicant must be a 3rd LineWAN Network Support Engineer and must have experience of configuring Juniper SRX series Routers to a 3rd Line level, in addition to BGP, IPSEC, PKI Prime and MPLS
• Must have experience of configuring SRX series routers, with experience of meeting tight project deadlines and BAU operations, enabling the delivery of secure network services
• The 3rd LineNetwork Engineer and will join a small team of engineers to manage and support the Network WAN estate
• Daily duties will include a mixture project/implementation work and general support escalations/fault finding
• Must be a 3rd LineNetwork Engineer with demonstrable experience of configuring, troubleshooting and tuning Juniper network devices
• The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of configuring and tuning the following: Juniper SRX platform, BGP, IPSEC, MPLS, PKI
• Juniper SRX platform - Successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Junos & experience in various SRX platforms. Candidate will have comprehensive CLi exposure. Candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of routing and switching
• BGP - Successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of configuring and tuning BGP, to include topics such as policy based routing, manipulation of attributes, load-balancing techniques, and lastly have comprehensive troubleshooting skillset
• IPSEC - Successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of IPSEC VPN's and be familiar with troubleshooting
• MPLS - Successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting MPLS
• PKI - Successful candidate will have knowledge of PKI infrastructure elements and be familiar with certificate based VPN authentication
• Excellent client facing experience
