Our client is a well-established service business based in Bury who has been through a period of substantial growth and is now looking for a Project Accountant or Finance Manager to support them on a 6 month basis in consolidating some projects and reporting systems.
That's where you come in.
Having worked to a senior level in previous businesses, you'll have gained significant experience across the finance function with exposure to process improvement, developing controls and transparency as well as the usual month end and year end reporting deadlines.
Aspects of the contract as Project Accountant/Finance Manager will include:
Oversee the allocation of accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate cost allocations and provide tighter controls where necessary.
Review all the operational budgetary controls against actuals and assist with developing better transparency.
Provide variance analysis around margin, deferred revenue, and accrued revenue with commentary for the Board.
Provide support for the reporting of the year end accounts and audit preparation, working closely with the existing team.
Work closely with the commercial team and develop a deeper understanding of variances, establish controls in this area and revenue accountability.
Complete the VAT returns and Tax reporting across various European entities within the Group.
Manage the year end P11D process, including staff benefits etc with all Tax/PAYE reporting and HMRC compliance.
The successful candidate will be able to start immediately and support the senior leadership team with the yearend reporting and audit, as well as develop the controls and processes within the monthly accounts and KPI reporting. This is a support role across the whole department, and you will be working at various levels within the monthly and yearly reporting cycle, so candidates must be able to influence and build relationships at all levels.
