The School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences is seeking to appoint four open ended, full time Lecturer/Senior lecturer/Readers to its Department of Psychology.
The post holders will contribute high quality research, teaching and academic citizenship.

We are seeking applicants who will engage in research and teaching activities of the highest quality and focussed in each of the following areas with the aim of strengthening the department’s world leading research profile in these areas:
1) Differential psychology;
2) Human cognitive psychology;
3) Social psychology (with expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, with two positions available in this field).
There is an opportunity for appointment at Senior lecturer/Reader level, for which the post holders will be expected to have demonstrated leadership experience and to contribute actively to the management of the Subject Area.
Your skills and attributes for success:
• You will have extensive experience of original research in a relevant area of Psychology, supported by a relevant qualification (normally a PhD or equivalent);
• You will have published first-author and/or collaborative research in high quality venues, and have a commitment to obtaining external research funding;
• You will have a deep commitment to delivering engaging and effective teaching to students at all levels, and from diverse backgrounds;
• You will have a positive and collegiate attitude towards teaching and wider departmental responsibilities;
• You will aspire to motivate, support, and lead students, teaching teams, and colleagues.
