We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc to join the Swaffer lab and lead a major research project within the lab’s overall focus on understanding how cell size impacts core cellular processes (see swafferlab.co.uk and Swaffer et al., Cell 2023 for details).
The Opportunity:
We're a multi-disciplinary group that combines approaches across cell, molecular, systems & quantitative biology, and we welcome applicates from diverse academic backgrounds. Start date is flexible and funding for this project is secured for at least 4 years as part of an 8-year Wellcome Trust CDA grant to the Swaffer lab.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Strong motivation to contribute to a novel area of cell biology research: i.e. understanding the role of cell size.
Skilled with standard techniques across cell and molecular biology.
Expertise / training in one or more of the following: RNA biology, genomics, proteomics, single cell imaging, quantitative data analysis.
