We are looking for a Communications and Marketing Officer to join our team here in the College of Science and Engineering (CSE).
The post-holder will be responsible for developing and producing high quality communications, campaigns and content across a range of channels that will raise awareness, profile and engagement with the College’s external and internal audiences.
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The Opportunity:
The Communications and Marketing Officer is an exciting and varied role that will be responsible for crafting high quality internal and external Communications and Marketing activities, creating engaging content, planning and managing campaigns and our social media channels, as well as ensuring our website reaches and engages our audiences.
You will be based in the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) Engagement Team, which has responsibility for the College’s communication, marketing, public engagement and research support functions. You’ll work as part of that team and will also work closely with marketing and communications staff in the College’s schools and units, as well as the wider University marketing and communications community.

Your skills and attributes for success:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrable experience of all elements of the marketing and communication mix, including social media, web, email marketing, digital advertising, and content development.
Experienced in a wide range of marketing and communications packages, platforms and tools including digital marketing and social media.
Adept at developing effective relationships and working collaboratively.
Flexible and able to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with a “can-do” attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
