About this role

WHAT TEAM WILL YOU BE ON?

The global Corporate Communications team at BlackRock is responsible for internal and external communications that connect us under the “One BlackRock” inclusive and collaborative environment, and advance BlackRock's purpose of helping more and more people experience financial well-being. WHY IS YOUR ROLE IMPORTANT?

We are evolving how employees across the firm access information, resources and tools through an integrated experience. You will support the employee Digital Experience programming as a key member of a global, cross-functional Internal Communications team. You will partner with peers and experts across the firm to solve complex digital, engagement and communications challenges.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and analytical skills, coupled with solid communications and organizational skills. This person must have the ability to work effectively in a complex global, fast-paced environment and provide counsel and support to stakeholders and collaborators at all levels.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Developing and maintaining Internal Communications analytics reporting, identifying tech solutions (such as Power BI) that can automate data collection across various channels (intranet, email, video, etc.)
  • Analyzing data and conducting user research/testing to understand the needs, preferences and behaviors of employees; using findings to guide the experience and engagement with internal content; share data and insights with team and business partners.
  • Partnering with our team and tech partners to enhance the firm’s intranet experience on SharePoint Online as well as the Digital Experience across other channels, supporting front-end content configuration and organization, applying the principles of user experience (UX) design to create and maintain a consistent and intuitive taxonomy, information architecture and navigation.
  • Providing support for a community of microsite owners and internal partners in developing their digital communications channels.
  • Building strong working relationships with our Digital Workplace and tech colleagues to create operational synergies; collaborating with communications team members in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
  • Participating in shaping and evolving the Internal Communications program and infrastructure as a core and valued member of the global team.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus 3+ years of experience in digital workplace, corporate communications, consultancy, marketing or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams), Microsoft Viva (including Viva Engage (fka Yammer) and Viva Insights), other communications and tech tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Adobe Photoshop, Poppulo, Power BI) and/or similar tools.
  • Experience in user experience (UX), taxonomy, information architecture, data gathering, analytics techniques, and using data, research and testing to measure and improve communication outcomes and organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and individuals across the firm.
  • Familiarity with various technology and communication tools and platforms, such as intranet, web, video, email, social media, analytics and automation platforms, and the ability to use them effectively and creatively.
  • Creative, results-oriented problem-solver with project management and organizational skills and the ability to consistently seek and identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
  • An aptitude to operate independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with resilience, flexibility and intellectual curiosity.
  • An upbeat teammate who is a driven self-starter, with a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, a passion for learning and innovation, and a willingness to embrace new ideas and technologies.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
