About The Role

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for an Accessible Vehicle Fleet Manager to join our team remotely on a full-time, permanent basis. You are responsible for our fleet of c33,000 wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (new and used), bespoke passenger solutions, drive from wheelchair vehicles and adapted cars.
 
You are responsible for product from acquisition to disposal with two key focuses:
  • Maximise the income from each unit in life and at disposal 
  • Ensure all in life spend is efficient and necessary without compromising customer experience. 
You will take responsibility to define the asset utilisation strategy for WAVs returned early and at end of lease to maximise the MO investment i.e., disposal, used programme or captive fleet.
 
You will take responsibility for our Nearly New WAV programme, managing all elements of the process. You will challenge the existing programme whilst working collaboratively across the business (Vehicle Solutions, Pricing & Asset Risk, Finance) and externally (Motability Foundation, NNWAV retailers & potential partners) to define a used WAV offering. 
 
Thinking about how customers discover used product, you’ll lead our workstream to create a digital customer experience to transform acquisition that remains relevant in a rapidly changing landscape. You’ll use your learnings to support the Accessible Vehicle Partnership Manager with their digital transformation.
 
You’ll manage our fleet spend in life, looking for data trends and drawing conclusions to help remove unnecessary SMR and continuous mobility spend. 
 
You will work in partnership with Commercial Operations to identify potential remarketing opportunities to improve residual values and sales revenues.
 
This role is a crucial member of the Accessible Vehicle management team – supporting the goals of your colleagues with your insights and effective partner leadership.
 

About You

• You will have a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance, either on base vehicles or maintaining conversions and adaptations. 
• You will understand the used vehicle market and be aware of how “days to sell” impacts financial and operational efficiency. 
• You will be able to engage with vehicle refurbishment partners effectively – capable of making policy decisions to ensure best value.
• You can operate strategically and understand how to make changes today that have a longer impact.
• You can operate as part of a collaborative and effective management team.
 
Minimum criteria:
• Extensive LCV or conversion experience
• Demonstrable track record in SMR and/or used vehicle management and disposal.
• Experience of influencing third parties to deliver improved service deliverables.
• Experience of operating within a customer centric environment.
• Proven experience of delivery within a challenging environment. 
• Experience of working at a senior/executive level.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
