My client is the UK’s Leading Engineering Distributor who make over 150M each year. This is an exciting and growing business who are expanding its account management team. Established in the late 1980’s it has quickly taken over the UK and is looking to take on the world!
Responsibilities:
will be responsible for customer management, increase in share of wallet / customer penetration and identifying new opportunities to sell and negotiate. You will also use your analysis skills to identify sales trends and opportunities to ‘add value’ to customers. You will be responsible for delivering sustainable and profitable sales growth by achieving targets through continuous development of both new and existing assigned customers whilst also identifying margin enhancement opportunities.
Requirements:
• Sales Targets: The Regional Key Account Manager will ensure that targets are agreed and set for the sales teams based on the regional area and the sales team are effectively communicated to, contributing to the forecast and target setting which relate to:
• Sales growth and sales volume.
• Gross Margin.
• New Key Accounts / customers.
• Customer and market penetration SOW.
• Product mix and diversification targets.
• Communicate, manage, and monitor promotions and campaigns.
• Working on strategy with the Group Sales Director and Regional Teams.
• Lead Change: Positively and effectively leading change within the team and supporting the Group Sales Direction in driving forward group projects and business initiatives.
• Positively lead change by engaging and promoting group initiatives and plans
• Analyse market forces locally and nationally to identify opportunity and likely impact on customer requirements.
• Group Projects: Undertaking and leading group projects such as new market analysis and penetration, working cross functionally with the Marketing and Purchasing teams to deliver products and services required to break into new markets. Supporting group projects, forums and working groups and working intrinsically with the Group Sales Director on strategic planning, market research, supplier development, team engagement and development and wider group programmes.
