Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be required to develop and implement sales strategies in defined market sectors. Responsibilities of the Account Manager:
- Promoting new and maintain existing business by face-to-face contact, telephone calls and e-mail
- Maximising business potential by involvement in obtaining individual orders and negotiating & setting up approved pricing agreements
- Maintaining an overview of all aspects of customer service encompassing stock control, sales, credit control, logistics and quality control
- Monitoring special stocks for key accounts and liaise with purchasing & technical personnel to ensure ongoing achievement of customer requirements
- Producing detailed and accurate reports with regard to sales forecasts, market information and competitor activity
- Using a structured and analytical approach, achieve a planned and organised programme of customer contact
- Providing a liaison with sales management, internal sales and all relevant departments in order to maximise customer potential
- Ensuring that customer complaints and issues are routed through the appropriate technical channels for resolution
- Proven sales experience within a commercial or similar environment
- A working knowledge of IT and a high level of interpersonal skills
- Self-motivation, initiative and tenacity are important personal attributes for this role
