Account Manager
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Account Manager to join our growing Direct Mail business. You will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to existing clients via multiple channels and completing a varied set of tasks in a timely and accurate manner across a range of mailing and print services. You should want to ensure customers are ‘wowed’ at all times.
You may have experience of a Direct Mail, Print or Postage services of some sort, but you may be an Account Manager in a related field looking for something more varied and stimulating. A passion for ensuring a client receives the best creative guidance and service is critical.
You will liaise with existing clients on the range of services we offer, developing those relationships for the long term to ensure the business achieves revenue objectives and ongoing success. You will liaise with our in house teams and be involved in preparing, estimates, job specs and all that goes with wide ranging client interaction.
Other requirements include performing administrative tasks, updating multiple systems, processing orders, answering delivery or deadline demands, and suchlike. The job can be pressurised as those deadlines are sometimes critical and you will understand that it is the client’s prerogative to leave it late and have you make it happen!
You should be capable of working within a small team and under your own initiative. You’ll be supported and given training, but you should also be a ‘doer’!
Responsibilities:
- Providing outstanding customer service to clients and prospects.
- Communicationwith customers on a continual & regular basis by telephone and email before, during and after job completion.
- Where applicable, develop and grow customers by increasing both revenue streams (but for long term relationship benefit and not short-term gain only).
- Process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfil customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work to instruction as well as on your own initiative.
- Ensure work and orders are completed accurately and within the set targeted time.
- Create job instructions, samples and/or project plans and liaise with relevant departments to ensure accurate information is produced before monitoring progress.
- Work constructively and supportively with all team members.
Requirements:
- Proven customer support experience, preferably within a mailing, print, creative, or associated industry.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
- Customer-orientated with an ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills via all channels.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Decent numeracy and comfortable in MS Office, CRM and MIS use.
- Proactive, can-do attitude with a flexible approach to working.

Due to the nature of our business, this is a hands-on, office-based roll therefore flexible/hybrid working is not available.
