Job description

In line with their ongoing expansion, my clients are seeking an ambitious Account Manager who is keen to forge a career in sales and marketing.

They are in search of a dependable, diligent, and industrious individual who pays meticulous attention to detail and prioritises customer satisfaction. This individual will report to both the Director of Sales and Business Development and the Director of Operations.

Purpose of the role:

• Act as the main point of contact between the company and its customers.
• Deal with customers either on the phone/video call or via email.
• Develop and implement strategies to maintain, strengthen and grow customer relationships.
• Understand the needs, goals, and challenges of each customer, and provide each one with the best guidance and support.
• Identify opportunities to upsell products.
• Attend exhibitions and meet customers, which may involve travelling abroad.
• Keep customers informed about products, services, and updates.
• Gather feedback and share it with internal teams to improve products or services.
• Keep details of all customers up to date on the CRM system.
• Provide monthly reports on account status.
• Analyse account performance and plan follow-ups to assess customer satisfaction and identify possible is-sues.
• Address and resolve customers' concerns or issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to find solutions to customer challenges.
• Ensure a positive resolution to problems to maintain client satisfaction.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Have a great eye for detail and the ability to perform well under pressure.
• Great communication skills and confidence in dealing with clients over the phone/video call and via email.
• Must be able to demonstrate you work well as part of a team as well as enjoy working independently and on your own initiative.
• Strong IT skills and the ability to operate multiple platforms working alongside each other.
• A proven understanding of account management, sales, and customer service.
• An intelligent, resourceful, proactive, and enthusiastic person with a very high level of proficiency in written English.
• Have an exceptionally strong work ethic, with the willingness to learn and adapt.
• Have an exceptionally high standard of fluency and competence in spoken and written English.
• Be highly computer-literate, ideally using Macs.
• Possess a very high level of self-discipline, attention to detail, thoroughness, and perfectionism.
• Have a strong, instinctive passion for education.
• Be a self-motivator, able to work to the very highest standards without supervision.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
• Have the flexibility and adaptability to be able to fit into, and work successfully, in a small team.

Desirable Skills and Attributes

• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in sales and or account management.
• Familiarity with, or experience within, the aviation training industry.
• A keen interest in science and or aerospace.
