Management Accountant

Management Accountant - initially 15-month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Gloucester with hybrid working

Salary: up to £45K dependant on experience

T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of a successful and rapidly growing business services company.

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation of monthly accounts and reporting. This role will have a heavy focus on excel and analysis of monthly activity to budgets, forecasts and month on month variances.

As Management Accountant, key responsibilities will include:

• The preparation and posting of prepayments, accruals, depreciation
• Take ownership of monthly management accounts and reporting pack
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly P&L Analysis: review the P&L activity and seek justification for any variances.

o Provide detailed revenue and costs variance analysis

o Support with the provision of accurate Divisional and Group reporting and analysis.

o Provide detailed excel spreadsheet modelling for analysis for particular cost categories.

• You will also support with

o Preparation of the commission calculation

o Process VAT returns.

o Create intercompany reports

o Responsible for financial year end audit packs and liaising with auditors to ensure deliverables are met.

o Provide all information to Group in relation to statutory reporting and review of draft statutory accounts.

o budgeting / forecasting process, by providing information and analysis.

To be successful in this Management Accountant role, we are seeking the following:

• Ideally a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) with 2 years management accounts experience gained in industry
• Questions and where appropriate challenges the status quo to ensure continuous improvement
• Excel skill at intermediate level or above
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Able to demonstrate flexibility by adapting work in line with changing priorities
• Knowledge of Sage 200 an advantage.
