Overview:
Gallagher Re is looking for an expert reinsurance practitioner to work with the team handling one of the group’s largest clients and assist on a wide range of clients domiciled in the Asia Pacific region.

The role offers an opportunity to gain exposure to a range of business classes across major blue chip clients. You'll provide critical administrative, technical and compliance support as part of the team handling one of the groups largest clients of Gallagher Re. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to engage in marketing and client facing activities on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Frequent engagement with Gallagher Re offices across APAC and beyond
  • Support marketing and broking, representing clients and Gallagher Re in the market
  • Review market security information on carriers, checking compliance and financial positions
  • Build/Update marketing sheets
  • Produce data, statistics, and information packs in support of the placement of a client’s reinsurance programme
  • Liaise with Compliance/Sanctions Team on sanctions checks where touch points exist
  • Support creation of slips/endorsements
  • Ensure contract records are accurately maintained within transactional broking system
  • Regular contact with colleagues on technical support/contracts
  • Handle and resolve queries from clients and reinsurers, including regular in person engagement
  • Work on ad hoc projects, supporting strategy, conducting research and supporting production of reports/PowerPoint presentations
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office suite
  • Technical Reinsurance knowledge and experience
  • A Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII) preferred
  • Technical knowledge of FCA regulations for (re)insurance intermediaries
  • Experience working with clients from the Asia Pacific would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Lloyd’s, the London market and the global reinsurance industry
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Great teammate and able to build relationships
  • Highly organised with good time management skills
  • Be able to prioritise different tasks and workload
  • Soft skills such as awareness and appreciation of different cultures
  • Asian language skills would be regarded as beneficial but not essential
  • Eligible to work in the UK
