Accountancy Graduate Trainee Accounts Assistant

Pertemps are working with a privately owned CA firm who are looking to add to their finance team with a Trainee Accounts Assistant.  As Accounts Assistant you will receive first class training in the finance team and have the opportunity to progress your career.  This role is working in the office and based in Ayrshire.  Salary circa £23k.
This position will suit a candidate who has recently finished University with a accountancy qualification and is looking for an entry level opportunity as a Trainee Accounts Assistant. You should have a hard-working attitude, a willingness to learn something new and the ability to work well under pressure.
Main Duties:
The successful candidate will report to the Practice Owner and be involved with all aspects of accountancy, taxation and client relationships.

• Preparation of statutory financial statements
• Preparation of corporation, partnership & personal tax returns
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns under MTD
• External client training on Quickbooks
• Client bookkeeping

Candidate Profile:

• Accountancy graduate
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrate an enthusiastic, customer-focused approach
• A proactive, positive and self-motivated attitude with a problem-solving mindset
• Strong IT skills
