ACCOUNTANT

Salary =£40,000/£55,000

Location- Reigate Office (Flexible working from home)

Monday – Friday (9am-5pm)

OUR COMPANY 

Our client is a friendly, well established accountancy practice based in Reigate with a strong portfolio of clients across South West London and Surrey. 

Servicing over 250 local clients, including limited companies, sole traders and self-employed we have thrived over the last few years and are now looking to expand the team further to support us and help to continue to grow the business. 

THE ROLE

You will manage your own portfolio of clients providing accountancy, tax and compliance services. Working alongside the partners your role will be varied and Include: 

DUTIES

Accountancy services 

• Preparation of company and sole trader financial statements 
• All aspects of accounting up to and including the production of monthly management accounts. 

Taxation services 

• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns 
• Preparation of self-assessment returns for directors, self-employed, partnerships and rental property accounts., 
• Preparation of corporation tax returns 

Other 

• Liaising with clients 

• Ensuring client compliance with reporting and payments 
• Companies House compliance 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

• Team player (small team in our Reigate office) 
• Ability to work independently 

• Excellent basic accounting skills and high level of accuracy 
• Qualified / excellent qualified by experience candidates will be considered 
• 3-5 years of proven experience in a client facing role gained within a practice or industry 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all types of clients 

• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word.  We mainly use Xero and Taxcalc experience preferred but not essential
