Local Accountancy Practice with a rich history of expertise in accounting, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and taxation services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountant to join their team. The ideal Accountant will have 1-2 years of experience within a professional firm and possess strong technical skills in accounting, tax preparation, and client communication with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Being Part qualified ACCA, ICAEW or AAT is preferred. This Accountancy role involves the preparation of year-end accounts, bookkeeping, tax returns, VAT returns, and corporation tax filings for our clients. Key Responsibilities od this Account role will involve :
- Preparation of year-end accounts and bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Completion and submission of tax returns, including VAT returns and corporation tax filings.
- Use accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Assist clients with queries and provide advice on accounting matters.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and accounting best practices.
- Experience with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) workings and tax returns will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word for day-to-day work.
