My client is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. You will be responsible for a variety of clients, dealing with their full accounting responsibilities. Clients will typically be small limited companies, partnerships and sole traders from a variety of industries.
Your technical skills will be complemented by first class interpersonal skills. You will excel at communicating with clients in a friendly and approachable way, with a view to building long-standing relationships. Many of the clients have a limited grasp of accounting and will rely on you to guide them through the process and help them to understand their accounts.
Accountant Duties:
* Prepare VAT returns
* Preparing interim management accounts, to include a P&L and Balance sheet
* Preparing annual statutory accounts for small companies, sole traders, partnerships and LLP clients
* Preparing tax computations
* Meeting all statutory and client deadlines as well as exceeding them
* Carrying out company secretarial duties on behalf of clients
* Assisting in the planning and management of the workflow
* Providing the client with efficient and effective client service at all times
Essential:
* Knowledge of SAGE, QuickBooks and Xero is essential
* Good systems skills including MS Excel
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal
* Organised and accurate with attention to detail
