Accountant / Bookkeeper - Growing Professional Services Business

Based: Swindon, Wilts (hybrid)

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits

Start date: Immediate / ASAP

A growing professional services business in Swindon is now looking to hire an Accountant / Bookkeeper for their high profile team on a permanent, full time contract. Reporting into the MD the duties of the Accountant / Bookkeeper will include:

• Provide finance and accounting services to a broad range of clients
• Prepare annual statements
• Create management reports using Xero
• Sales invoicing and pay run preparation
• General bookkeeping duties
• Preparation of tax returns
• Ad hoc duties / project work as requested by the Financial Controller

We are looking for a graduate, AAT or part qualified ACCA or CIMA with 2-4 years proven experience in a similar role who is looking to develop their career within a dynamic, fun organisation

Requirements for Accountant /Bookkeeper

• 2-4 years experience in a similar finance role
• Preferably AAT, a finance or accounting graduate or a part qualified ACCA or ACA
• Strong technical accounting skills (UK GAAP )
• Ideally with previous knowledge of working with Xero
• Excellent communication skills and a confident manner
• Ability to multitask and prioritise
• Flexible, professional and team approach
• Ambitious, innovative and detail-oriented
