Property Accountant

e are looking for a Property Accountant for an exciting Wiltshire based business.

The role

Reporting into the Property Financial Controller responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Property FC with all aspects of property portfolio accounting
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships across the broader Finance Team, facilitating consistent and efficient reporting
• Ensuring month end accounting, reporting and forecasting is completed in accordance with agreed policies and procedures including commentary and analysis against budget and forecast
• Ensuring integrity of financial numbers including preparation and review of control account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
• Maintaining up to date records of all portfolio leases in liaison with the Property Team to ensure income is recorded accurately
• Liaising with external Property Management company regarding provision of financial information
• Integrating new property acquisitions to portfolio accounting
• Project cost monitoring and tracking recoverable work costs where applicable
• Preparing monthly cash forecasts for all property activities
• Supporting Tax Team with quarterly VAT processes, preparation of QIP forecasts and other ad hoc requests
• Supporting year end reporting processes
• Supporting preparation of annual budgets and five-year plans
• Supporting financial aspects of property acquisitions
• Assisting with annual portfolio insurance renewals

Person Specification

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 1-3 years PQE
• Previous experience in an accountant role
• Property accounting and transactions experience is desirable but not essential
• Commitment to meeting demanding reporting deadlines
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
• Diligent, thorough, and excellent attention to detail
• IT literate, particularly Excel, experience of ERP also beneficial
• Confident communication skills

Salary

£50,000 - £55,000 plus discretionary bonus, private medical and dental, pension, life assurance, 27 days holiday, discounted gym membership, CTW and electric vehicle schemes and employee assistance programme.
