Assistant Accounting Apprenticeship
Do you enjoy working with numbers and maths? Looking for a career in finance?
Join our AQA Early Careers Scheme as an Assistant Accounting Apprentice and play a vital role in the day-to-day support on essential financial activities. You’ll study towards a Level 3 BPP Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship and gain on-the-job experience by getting involved in multiple finance functions. By the end of the programme, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to be successful in a demanding finance role.
What’s involved?
As an apprentice in our accounting function, you’ll be responsible for providing valuable information and reports to help our customers and colleagues make important decisions. During this 18-month programme, you could gain experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury and Banking. This experience is key in developing important skills, such as collaboration, personal accountability, effective communication and embracing change.
You could also be responsible for:
- Producing and processing customer and supplier invoices and receipts
- Creating financial reports on debtors and creditors
- Handling customer and supplier queries efficiently
- Recognising and using different accounting approaches to ensure efficiency
- Recording and analysing financial data
Who you are
To be eligible for this role, you must have at least 5 GCSEs grade A-C, including Maths and English. Due to the nature of our business and the market we operate in - predominantly A levels and GCSEs – you need to be over the age of 18 years from 1st September 2024 to avoid any potential conflict of interest.
