Dive into an exciting realm where you'll lead on a varied client portfolio, tackling assignments from straightforward to intricate, to deliver a service that's nothing short of exceptional.As an Accounting Assistant Manager, you'll be at the forefront of a dynamic set of responsibilities, including:• Timely completion and submission of financial statements, business taxation, and personal taxation for your client portfolio, meeting all deadlines.• Initiating assignments by briefing Accounting Assistants/Seniors to ensure a crystal-clear understanding and approval of job plans and budgets.• Directly addressing and resolving complex queries with clients, maintaining excellent communication and rapport.• Vigilantly monitoring the progress of active assignments to prevent any overruns and ensure timely completion.• Crafting draft financial statements, meeting agendas, and other materials for client interviews with a keen eye for detail.• Ensuring the punctual completion of VAT returns, bookkeeping tasks, and management accounts assignments.• Collaborating with the Accounting Partner to establish formal objectives for your team, fostering a cohesive and goal-oriented work environment.To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:• ICAS/ACA/ACCA Qualified with professional accounting experience.• Local to / within reasonable commuting distance of our Northallerton office (essential)• Experience of working within an Accountancy practice previously, particularly in an Accounting team.
