An exciting opportunity to join a growing accounts team within one of Northern Ireland’s fastest growing companies. The successful candidate will be working within a busy account’s office ensuring the smooth running of the accounts function.
Reporting
The Accounts Administrator will report to the Accounts Team Leader and Finance Director.
Duties of the role will include but are not limited to:
·· Processing information onto Purchase and Sales Ledger
· Coding of purchase invoices to a detailed nominal ledger
· Posting of Supplier payments
· Reconciliation of supplier statements to supplier accounts
· Posting customer payments.
· Deal with customer accounts calls.
· Oversea the credit control function to ensure timely payment customer invoices.
· Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
· Prepare bank lodgements.
· Update and maintain cheque journal.
· Ad hoc administration duties – telephone, filing etc.
· Monthly EC Sales list and Intrastat return.
· Any other duties required for the smooth running of the accounts department.
Essential Criteria
·· 3 GCSEs, Grades A-C including Maths and English or equivalent
· A minimum of 2 years-experience in an Accounts Assistant role OR be studying towards a recognised Accounting Qualification
· Excellent telephone manner
· Communication skills both written and verbal
· Excellent organisation and administration skills
· Ability to work on own initiative.
· Experience of a recognised accounts software package.
· Ability to obtain reports from multiple online applications. E.g.: PayPal, Realex etc.
· Excellent IT Skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
· High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
· Be able to communicate verbally and orally in a professional manner with people both internally and externally.
· Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
· Ability to work to tight deadlines.
· High motivation levels and keenness to work as part of a successful team.
· Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Criteria
· Experience working on the purchase ledger
· Experience of accounts payable
· Experience of NetSuite system would be desirable
