A Senior Accounts and Tax professional to play a crucial role in managing financial Accounts and ensuring compliance with tax regulations within our client's organisation. Here are some key responsibilities and skills associated with this role:

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Tax Compliance: Stay updated on tax laws and regulations, and ensure that the organisation complies with all applicable tax requirements. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time.
• Audit Support: Assist in both internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial and Tax-related matters.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the development of budgets and forecasts, helping to guide financial decision-making.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and Tax processes, improve efficiency, and enhance controls.
• Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to internal stakeholders, management, and external parties such as auditors and Tax authorities.
• Compliance Monitoring: Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Tax Expertise: In-depth knowledge of tax regulations, including corporate tax, income tax, and other relevant tax laws.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail is critical to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying issues, solving problems, and making informed decisions.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
