Accounts Assistant - £28,000 - £33,000 + benefits - Marlow, Buckinghamshire (5 days in the office)

FryerMiles is partnering with a leading construction company based in Marlow Buckinghamshire, to recruit an Accounts Assistant. The organisation is experiencing strong growth, and this is a newly created role to support the growing organisation. Reported to the Management Accountant and working in a small team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of finance transactions.

The duties of the Accounts Assistant include:

• Enter purchase ledger invoices onto Sage & Eque2.
• Posting of sales invoices in sage
• Posting of Purchase invoices.
• Ensuring that any unallocated items are investigated proficiently and quickly.
• Reconcile Supplier statements.
• Complete a weekly payment run.
• Carry out CIS returns
• Reconciling bank statements.
• Answering supplier queries in a timely manner.
• Other finance tasks as required
• Processing of Sub-Contractor payment applications and accounting for Retention.
• Experience using Eque2 and Sage 50 desirable but not essential.
• Posting of Journals.

The successful Accounts Assistant will:

• Have excellent attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a team player with the ability to work under their own initiative and pressure but comfortable to ask for support.
• Have good Excel skills (ability to do VLookUps and Pivot Tables independently)
• Experience of Sage would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.
