Accounts Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team based in our Bristol office. Working alongside the Finance team you will get an opportunity to be a part of a business that makes a real difference. As Accounts Assistant you will be supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well assisting with audit and compliance as required. Accuracy is a must in a role like this. We are also looking for a 'can-do' attitude, enthusiasm and confidence. You will be interacting with our Care Managers, clients and their relatives so you will need to be approachable, helpful and understanding.
Your new role

• Processing purchase invoices, reconciling and preparing the payment run
• Assisting with the sales ledger, including raising and processing sales invoices
• Credit control to ensure timely payments from our customers
• Reconciling complex customer accounts
• Assisting with audit and compliance as and when required
• Liaising with clients, other stakeholders and other departments in a professional and friendly manner
• Assisting with general finance duties
• As a growing business we\'re constantly looking at ways to improve the way we do things from an operational standpoint, and there will be opportunities to be involved in various activities as we scale, e.g. systems implementations and improving and documenting processes.

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Experience working within a finance team
• Team player
• Good telephone manner and able to handle calls with a sensitive approach
• Good excel skills
• Ability to adapt to system changes and implement new ideas
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Basic accounting knowledge - including double entry and basic monthly journals
• Good system and account reconciliation skills are a must

• 3-month Temporary contract
• £11.50 per hour
