Job Description

Based in Leighton Buzzard, our client is a leader in their field looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team on initially a 12 month fixed term contract with possibility of long term permanent employment.

This job would suit someone AAT qualified or studying towards their Level 3 AAT qualification, to gain a working knowledge and understanding of the business and how it operates, providing key support to the finance team and happy to be in the office 5 days a week.

The successful individual will be comfortable in dealing with figures and numbers, and can demonstrate a practical approach when faced with challenges. They will have excellent attention to detail with good organisation skills to be able to handle and prioritise their workload. Knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Word and Excel, and similar programmes such as CRM's is essential. Sage 50 Accounts and banking platforms experience would be desired.

Job responsibilities:

• Posting the daily bank transactions and bank reconciliation
• Monitoring and maintaining the Finance Inbox
• Purchase Ledger processes and posting
• Reconciling Supplier statements
• Reconciling and Processing Employee Expenses, Cash Cards and Credit Cards
• Chasing smaller customer debts and assisting the credit controller
• New Customer and Supplier Account Set Up and Sales Order Processing
• Maintaining the Purchase Orders inbox and raising Orders
• Assist with answering telephone calls during the day as needed
• Confident speaking with Clients, Customers and Suppliers, dealing with queries, debtor control and complaints professionally and calmly
