If you’re someone who loves finance but also needs extra flexibility, whether it’s to pick the kids up from school, take the dog for a walk, or look after a family member then this role is ideal.

A client we have supported in the past has reached out exclusively to Platinum to help them find part-time maternity cover. You will be managing the day-to-day transactional accounting using Xero and reporting directly to the FC. It is quintessential you have solid accounts and Xero experience – with it being a contract role, they need someone who can hit the ground running.

You will be the FC’s port of call as it is only you two in the finance team. Although it is a temporary role, you will still play a pivotal part in ensuring the company’s accounts tick over. There is always a place for new ideas and the FC would be happy to hear any suggestions you may have.

The FC and Director have collectively been with the business for over 30 years and pride themselves on the business’s staff retention and I can understand why! After our team’s call yesterday, they are so relaxed and easy to speak to, it is clear that they strive to create a friendly atmosphere.

You can expect a calm environment where everyone gets along, so although this is a temporary role, the team will welcome you with open arms and you’ll be able to slot in almost immediately. This would suit someone who needs extra flexibility or is looking to drop down to part-time hours.
