Job Title:Accounts Assistant (Maternity Cover - 8 months)
Location: Ruislip
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to cover an 8-month maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. The role requires proficiency in Sage 50 and other relevant accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate sales invoices for diverse customers using Sage 50.
- Verify price and quantity on purchase invoices, ensuring alignment with delivery notes on the database software.
- Process purchase invoices on Sage 50, maintaining accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Input supplier payments and customer receipts accurately into the system.
- Reconcile statements of accounts from suppliers monthly, identifying and rectifying any discrepancies.
- Calculate accruals and process payments accordingly.
- Conduct credit card bank reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports to support financial analysis.
- Generate and manage purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Calculate and process payroll hours using In-Time software.
- Undertake other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and other relevant accounting software.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with In-Time software is an advantage.
