ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Our client is an Accountancy Practice based in West Ipswich who are actively seeking an Accounts Assistant/Technician to join their small team. Offering a supportive environment, this is a great opportunity for someone to join a close-knit team.

The purpose of this role is to provide regular support to clients in a professional manner, completing VAT returns, tax returns and bookkeeping to clients.

Job Duties

Preparation of accounts and VAT returns from client books and records

Bookkeeping

Providing support to clients with their bookkeeping

To communicate in a courteous, professional, and reassuring manner with clients, suppliers and members of the public

£22.5-24.5k Basic Salary DOE | Full or Part-Time Considered Mon-Fri (30 hours plus) | West Ipswich | Accountancy Practice Accounts/Bookkeeping/VAT Returns | Accurate/Courteous/Customer Friendly/Hardworking

Applicant Specification

AAT Level 3 or 4 or equivalent

2 years accountancy practice preferred (industry experience considered)

The ability to work accurately and achieve deadlines

Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a team player and build rapport with clients from a variety of backgrounds

Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn and embrace new systems and new technologies

Initiative and good problem-solving skills

A methodical and thorough approach

Driving licence preferred due to location (dedicated car parking space available)
