Accounts Assistant

As an Accounts Assistant at Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and reporting for the allocated business units and/or legal entities. In this role, you will assist with end-to-end accounts payable, inventory accounts, VAT returns and bank reconciliations. Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Assistance in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for allocated operational business units.
• Preparation of monthly payroll for Belmond Luxury Travel Limited, working closely with our outsourced payroll provider to produce the final payroll, and submission of reports for approval and payment.
• Reporting any EEA package revenue to comply with Irish Package Travel Regulations.
• Assistance in the annual ABTA audit.

Requirements:
What You Bring:

• 3+ years’ relevant experience within all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiering, stock control, journal entry, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts to trial balance and producing management accounts within tight deadlines.
• Accounting qualification by recognised accounting body; business and/or accounting background desirable.
• Experience within the hospitality industry (finance department and/or operations), preferably in a luxury environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and to work independently when required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
