Position Overview: The Accounts Assistant will provide support to the finance department by assisting with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and grow in the field of accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing accounts payable transactions, including reviewing and entering invoices, preparing payment runs, and reconciling vendor statements.
- Support accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of financial transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounting transactions.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of accounting.
